Memories come back to life in different forms, from objects to the body an the place they inhabited. One should noticed them and start a conversation with them.

Garden conversations is an installation exhibited in Planta 1/2 curated by La Séptima K in December, 2014. It involved a series of photographies, a performance and an audiovisual installation. In 2016, an screendance version was exhibited at “Major Major 2016 show” at The New School, New York.

MATILHA

Matilha, a primeira video-dança 360º já produzida no Brasil, registra a performance de 70 bailarinos, acrobatas e parkours utilizando como palco o espaço da Praça das Artes. O vídeo imersivo explora o contraponto entre a rigidez da arquitetura e a fluidez dos corpos que nela se lançam, chocam e repousam.

O projeto é fruto da parceria entre o Estúdio Bijari, o coreógrafo Diogo Granato e as companhias de dança Silenciosas + GT´Aime , Mais Companhia e Núcleo de Improviso Cênico.

* хочу: in Russian it means “I want”. The idea was born out of a class in a school of contemporary dance in St. Petersburg, in a city of triumph for the classical ballet, where a dance school is open for all the people that intimate that seek to satisfy their creative internal “wants”.

Sita

A dançarina Kathak Nehalem Bhogaita (Miss India Worldwide 2013),  a coreógrafa Sonia Sabri o compositor Sarvar Sabri junto com Jason Elberts inspiraram-se no personagem mitológico Sita para o 18º London Asian Film Festival e criaram o videodança assinalando o Dia Internacional da Mulher.

O projeto foi idealizado pelo Festival LAFF e o apoio é do 18ª Asian Film Festival London e pelo Arts Council England e BFI de Londres.



The dancer Nehal Bhogaita (Miss India Worldwide 2013), Kathak choreographer Sonia Sabri and composer Sarvar Sabri create a contemporary dance on camera piece with Jason Elberts on the mythological character Sita for the 18th London Asian Film Festival marking International Women's Day. This digital art premiered at British Library on 6 March 2016 at the festival's Ram Lila story telling event led by Dr Seema Anand.



This new work brings a resonance of Sita's life that is often missed from recitals and narrations.



The project was visioned by LAFF festival director Dr Pushpinder Chowdhry and led by creative director Samir Bhamra. The 18th London Asian Film Festival was supported by Arts Council England and BFI London.

“De um corpo feminino na sociedade. Cheio de homens a sua volta e o medo se fazendo presente a todo instante. 
Vida complexa, cheia de marcas e amarras. Sendo conduzida por um estímulo cruel que a manipula à sempre servir padrões patriarcais que lhe fazem encolher.
Corpo que encolhe, que chora, que sofre, que tenta se libertar, mas não consegue concretizar tal ato em plenitude.

Torcer, encolher, encolher, encolher, encolher...
Se esconder.

Esconder-se de tal modo a esconder de si mesma.
Desconhecer seus princípios e desejos,
verdades e vontades.
Esconder-se de tal modo, a não perceber aquilo que a amarra.
Esconde o olhar, esconde o vazio e continua a encolher.

De um todo, o que se percebe é o corpo que encolhe a cada dia mais, e unicamente devido ao fato de ser mulher. 
De carregar em si elementos biológicos que lhe caracterizam como mulher. 

Tudo errado, mas não vê, educou-se assim e desse lugar não consegue mais sair.

Português: Voltear é circular, é rodopiar, é ficar tonto depois de rodar. É buscar um ponto onde o olhar possa se segurar. Sem a segurança de que o mundo é onde deva estar.

Deutsche: Voltear bedeutet Wirbeln. Drehen bis man schwindlig wird. Man sucht ein punkt in den der Blick sich festhalten könnt. Ohne die Sicherheit zu haben, dass die Welt ist wo sie sein sollte
