A hula hoop floats amidst a stunning location of México city. As it moves, a dancer appears and plays with the hoop. Every movement creates lines, impressive shapes and lights that float in the space as if being drawn to gradually create an impressive sculpture in movement.

Dafeena

Dafeena is a site-specific dance for camera film adapting the original work created by Natasha Bakht for the CanAsian International Dance Festival. Shot in an abandoned crystal quarry, two guardians act out a mysterious yet seemingly familiar ancient ritual. This poetic film celebrates the spirit of nature and calls attention to the passage of time through experimentation with light and refracted images.

Hoop

Everyone carries a hula-hooping memory. In Hoop, the viewer's perspecitve of the childhood toy shifts when the floor is pulled away, sending simplistic notions of the circular plaything out the window.
